Tír Na Nóg Cattery is presently ran by the Lovitt family – Joan (late), June and Graham having been set up in 2004 by Suzanne Laing.
Similarly to Joan, June has had cats most of her life, she has had the ever-present company of Jess from two years old and for the last 14 years Chip, a feisty feral cat who has required many years of love and patience to calm her into a family pet. The most recent additions include ‘Felix’ a feral cat who had four kittens outside the back door. The whole family were subsequently were brought indoors at 2 days old and have been part of the family ever since for nearly 13 years.
The Lovitt family currently have over the years adopted many cats and currently have twelve cats in total. Until recently they also had a short black cat ‘Fluff’ who reached the ripe old age of twenty and a ginger and white ‘Samson’ 15 years and currently have a Malaysian ginger cat ‘Squeeky’ who is the grand old age of 19.

From kittens to very elderly cats and everything in between, the Lovitt family have a vast amount of experience between them over many years.
